Have you ever wanted an opportunity to have an impact in the Kingdom of God? Join us for a summer set apart from all others to serve the Lord. Share the good news about Jesus with kids and families and have a blast at Ingham and Okoboji. We want you to join our team of friends you’ll always remember for a summer you’ll never forget!
Our summer begins with two weeks of staff training starting on May 26. It is followed by ten weeks of camp, ending on August 10. If you have questions about time off, please contact Dan Antoine, Director of Programs. Junior Counselors typically start one week later, on June 2. Much more information is available in the PDF format of each packet.
Junior Counselor Packet: If you will have completed your Junior or Senior year of high school before summer begins this is the application for you.
Senior Counselor Packet: If you have been out of high school for a complete year before summer begins, and have never worked at Ingham Okoboji before, this is the application for you. Also, if you are interested in working in a support role at the camp (kitchen, maintenance, housekeeping, etc.), please use this application packet.
Returning/Leadership Packet: If you have already worked as a Senior Counselor or Day Camp Leader, this is the application for you. Whether you are applying for a counselor position again or if you would like to apply for a leadership position, you can use this form. (Leadership applications must be in by January 7, counselor applications will be acted upon as soon as they are received).
Detailed information about each position can be found by downloading or reading the application packets. Please note that the packets have all you need for the application process (application, voluntary disclosure form, reference forms, etc.) Be sure to send in or e-mail a nice, recent picture of yourself for use in pre-summer publicity.
The application process is as easy as 1-2-3:
1. Download application packet.
2. Complete packet and return to us as soon as possible.
3. Schedule an interview (via phone or on your campus).
That is all there is to it! Contracts or letters will be sent out to Senior Counselors shortly after the application and interview are completed in full. Contracts for Junior Counselors will be sent out around mid-April.
Finally, we will be visiting several campuses during January and February and would love to see you! Check with your campus to see when we will be near you!
