Women's Day Away
October 19, 2019
9 am-5 pm
Are you ready to get a little time away from the stresses of daily life? Join us for a wonderful day of relaxation, friendship, faith, and fun! This one-day retreat will include sessions, worship, great food, free time activities, and more. We hope you will be able to escape for a day away and join us this October at Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp.
Originally from Newton Iowa, Nicole graduated from Simpson college with a degree in Biology, and received her Masters of Divinity from Duke Divinity School. Nicole's ministry experiences include working in Iowa, North Carolina, Mississippi and Minnesota and range from urban to rural and anything in between. After serving in many different places, she finds herself completely at home in Wright County IA, where her husband, Pastor Grant, was born and raised. Nicole loves working as a co-pastor with her husband, Grant at First Lutheran in Clarion and working on the Woodley family farm. The farm raises corn, soybeans, and hogs. The barn yard at home includes a 4-H cow/calf herd, a few goats her husband refuses to claim, a handful of cats, and two big white monsters (Great Pyrenees dogs for guarding the livestock). Nicole has a passion to help all ages grow in their relationship with God and see where the Spirit is at work. Nicole loves being a wife, a biological, adoptive and foster mom of five great kids, a pastor and a farmer. She loves to cook and clean (good thing!), listen to music, garden, drive tractors and tend the animals.
