Senior High Camp at Okoboji- July 14-19

Campers will engage in dialogue about some of the central ideas of our Christian faith. The Alpha Youth series provides an opportunity for youth to understand the basics, gain a strong foundation in truth, and be able to communicate faith with others. Here are some highlights:

· DEEPER, STRONGER FAITH

· DAY OF SERVICE

· FUN, FUN, AND MORE FUN

· LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Building a strong faith foundation is a great step in becoming a leader in your youth group, church, and community. However, one of the most exciting parts of Senior High Encounter is that after you go through the week as a camper for the first time, you can return in a servant leadership role for other first-time campers. This returning role will include specific leadership training, special Bible studies and discussions, surprise fun activities, and an opportunity to use your gifts and talents to serve in some capacity. Don’t wait, register today!

Beatty Darr, Annika Bakkum-Ekern, and Kristin Burdey from the Rushford Youth Band will help lead the workshops throughout the week.

The Rushford Lutheran Church youth praise team has spent ten years growing students into leaders! Young people from this small-town congregation have developed the skills to lead the congregation in worship and write their own praise songs. They have led worship at Ingham-Okoboji summer camp, performed on the Eagles Cancer Telethon, and had many other wonderful opportunities. Youth leaders Annika and Beatty have played together for nearly a decade, and between them have experience writing and performing music, as well as skill on piano, guitar, bass, drums, vocals, and accordion.
