Housing Reservation Information!
Housing is filling up! Reserve yours today!
We are SUPER excited to offer several great, affordable options for housing! (FYI - Hotel rooms in the area start at $200 per night in the summer) We are already full at Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp but have spaces available at our neighbors Camp Okoboji and Lakeshore Center as well as super affordable options (as low as $5 per person!) at Ingham Lake Bible Camp.
Please note: As of 12-2023, Gull Point State Park is scheduled for massive updates in 2024 and will not be available for those wanting to camp nearby.
HOW TO RESERVE HOUSING WITH IOLBC!
1. Click on the "Housing Option Details" link below to review the pricing and options currently available.
2. Click on the "Housing Request Form" link at the top of the page and complete your request for housing.
3. Watch your email for your confirmation in the next 7-10 days. Print and mail a copy of your invoice with your deposit.
Featured Speakers & Special Guests
Pastor Mike Housholder
Pastor Mike Housholder currently serves at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines as the Senior Pastor. He has been featured as a Family Camp speaker in the past and has been a long time supporter of IOLBC and advocate of camp ministry. We are excited to welcome him as one of our Saturday evening keynote speakers.
Pastor Danny Housholder
Pastor Danny Householder currently serves as the campus pastor for Lutheran Church of Hope - Ames. Danny served on summer staff for multiple years as both a senior counselor and a program director. We are excited for Danny and Mike to pair up in a father/son duo for our Saturday night celebration.
Staff Alum Susan Kliment
Susan Kliment serves as the Children's Ministry Director and the Assistant Director of Discipleship at her church in Albert Lea, MN. Her ministry career started at IOLBC and her passion for knowing Jesus and making Christ known to all was fanned into flame during her years at camp. Susan is married to Darrin and they live in rural Northwood, IA. Darrin and Susan have 3 grown sons - Caleb, Samuel and Josiah.
Reunion Hosts
Saturday afternoon will feature a chance for campers and staff to gather according to the different era(s) they were most active at camp! Each reunion group will feature special hosts you may want to come and say hello to!
Pre-1990
- Connie Sorenson Connie, alongside his wife Jeanne, we co-directors of the camp from 1976 to 1993. Connie plans to be at camp for the weekend and is looking forward to re-connecting with campers and staff his years on staff.
1990-2000
- Swen - If you know Swen, you likely have a camp tune which comes to mind in his honor as well! Don't miss out on a chance to enjoy some of your favorite camp tunes!
2000-2010
- Becky (Sorenson) & Jay Baker- We can't wait to welcome back Becky and Jay as featured hosts of the reunion for those who were around camp as we began the journey into the 21st Century!
