Kyle Rouse
Kyle is a trained wilderness guide who is certified as Wilderness First Responder through National Outdoor Leadership School. He has gained experience in the backcountry with Solid Rock Outdoor Ministry and Geneva Kayak Center. Kyle grew up on a farm near Ayrshire Iowa and graduated from Emmetsburg High School where he participated in baseball, wrestling, track, and football. After high school, Kyle received a BA in Sport Management from Wartburg College and an MS in Recreation Administration; Outdoor Pursuits from Aurora University. Kyle currently lives in Emmetsburg with Jamie, his wife of 14 years and their 5 children.

Our trip leader, Kyle Rouse, and an assistant guide, will lead you step by step through this challenging adventure as you allow yourself to be stretched physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
Participants will also learn some important outdoor skills, such as:
· Wilderness camping
· Navigation
· Back-country cooking
· Route planning
· Leave-No-Trace outdoor principles

No previous outdoor experience is required. Backpack Expedition is designed to challenge you physically so please check the Limitations tab to make sure you are able physically fit for the expedition. All group camping and backpacking gear, as well as transportation from camp will be provided. Some of the meals in transit will be at your expense.
