Limitations to Consider

Though no prior experience is required, this program is intended to challenge participants both physically and spiritually. Here are a few things to keep in mind when considering this adventure:

  • Backpacking: We will be carrying 3 days worth of personal and group gear, including food, in backpacks weighing up to 50lbs for as much as 6 miles per day.

  • Hiking: We will be hiking anywhere between 6 and 15 miles total per day

  • Terrain: We will be hiking through areas where ground conditions will be uneven/rocky, muddy, or off-trail at times.

  • Elevation: Basecamps will be between 8,000 and 9,500 feet and hiking will reach 12,500 feet.

  • Schedule: Days on the course may be long and require you to be up at 6am and in bed after 9pm

  • Wilderness: We will spend 3 days in the wilderness with limited access and communication.
